Join our established Hervey Bay practice. A special interest in skin cancer medicine and willingness to supervise registrars are particularly welcome.
Why Main Street Medical Centre
We are an established general practice in central Pialba with an integrated skin cancer service, including dedicated on-site skin surgery rooms and 3D total body photography. Our doctors work across general practice, women’s health, skin cancer medicine, chronic disease management and minor procedures, with a visiting specialist in paediatrics.
We are an accredited training practice with both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM), so we can support registrars on either college pathway.
As an MM2 location with automatic Distribution Priority Area (DPA) status, we are able to consider applications from international medical graduates.
Hervey Bay sits on the doorstep of K’gari (formerly Fraser Island) and the Great Sandy Strait, with a subtropical climate and a short commute in any direction.
Who we would like to hear from
- General practitioners — including specialist GPs with Fellowship (FRACGP or FACRRM), and international medical graduates on an approved pathway
- GP registrars — we are accredited for training with both the RACGP and ACRRM
- Practice nurses — including nurses with an interest in chronic disease management, immunisation or skin cancer medicine
- Reception and administration
All clinical staff must hold current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
