Patient Feedback — Main Street Medical Centre Hervey Bay
At Main Street Medical Centre, patient feedback helps us improve the care we provide to the Hervey Bay community. Whether it’s a compliment, a suggestion or a complaint, we want to hear it.
How to give feedback
There are three ways to share feedback with us:
- Feedback form — use the form on this page for compliments, suggestions or complaints. You do not have to give your name. If you would like a reply, leave your contact details and tick that we may contact you.
- Patient experience survey — our anonymous survey asks about your last visit and takes about 10 minutes. Please leave identifying details out of the free-text answers.
- In person or by phone — speak with our reception team at 71 Main Street, Pialba, or call (07) 4325 4000.
What happens to your feedback
All feedback is reviewed by the Practice Manager. Suggestions and complaints are discussed at our regular team meetings, and we use them to adjust scheduling, communication and clinic processes. Compliments are passed on to the staff member or doctor involved.
We are an AGPAL-accredited practice, and reviewing patient feedback is part of how we meet the RACGP Standards for General Practices.
You said, we did
Thank you to the 290 patients who completed our last patient survey. Here is what you told us and what we have done about it.
- You said it could be hard to get an appointment, especially at short notice. We did: you can now book most appointment types online, at any time, and telehealth appointments are available when they suit your care.
- You said waiting times once you arrive could be better. We are reviewing how we schedule appointments to reduce waits, and we will let you know if there is an unexpected delay during your visit.
- You said clear information from your doctor matters to you. We are continuing to train our team so that explanations, treatments and advice are easy to follow.
Our patient experience survey is open now. We will update this section with what we learn from it.
Confidentiality
Feedback is handled confidentially under Australian privacy law. Your feedback does not affect your care, and no identifiable information is shared beyond the management and clinical review processes used to improve our services.

Complete our patient experience survey
Our survey asks about your last visit. It is anonymous: we do not ask for your name, and your answers are not linked to your medical record. It takes about 10 minutes, and we use the combined results to improve our services.
The survey opens in a new tab. If you want to raise a concern or make a complaint, please use the feedback form above so we can respond to you.
If we can’t resolve your concern
If you are not satisfied with our response to a complaint, you can contact the Office of the Health Ombudsman (OHO), Queensland’s independent health complaints agency — oho.qld.gov.au or 133 646.
